Wireless LAN Problems on HP Mini 2140 Running XP (Resolved)

HP Mini 2140 comes with Vista Home Basic, but when you decided to downgrade it to XP, you might have a wireless LAN problems. The wireless device might be defective, but before judging it and go to the HP service center, you can try this steps to resolve it:

  1. Extract all HP drivers to a folder called WLAN. You may find it at C:\spsetup\WLAN
  2. If you already have the folder, look for the folder and identify any missing drivers.
  3. Install other HP Mini 2140 Drivers for XP or utilities not in the folder.

After installing other utilities, the wireless now should work. If problem persists, you might want to consult the service center.
