The Viewsonic VEB-620-W 6 is equipped with E-ink panel technology to make it look like a traditional paper and makes it easier to read under direct sunlight, supporting 800×600 pixel resolution. The screen size is 6-inch with 16-level grayscale to imiate tradional paper. The reading device is also packed with 2GB internal memory and can be added with SD card memory to store many books.

The power source comes from Li-Ion battery with power saving feature to save power. This alone can last up to 8 thousand page reading. ViewSonic eBook reader support many popular ebook formats, including ePub, PDF and also MP3 for audiobooks.

You can eliminate hard reading fonts using adjustable font sizes and rotate the device as you wish as it has G-sensor which senses motion of your palm. Use the sensor to read next or previous page on the book with a shake.

For less than $200, this device is quite good ebook reader which has double functionality as music player. A major drawback of this e-reader probably because of greyscale reading that limits your ebook reading to only black and white books, not colorful books with a lot of pretty pictures. It is not a Text To Speech E-Reader which also quite a shame. You can also compare this device to Asus Eee Reader which also quite good alternative to iPad.
