Video Driver Dell D610 for Windows7

Video driver for Dell D610 for Windows7 often cause problem because of incompatibility. Every other driver works fine except for the VGA which is downloaded through Windows Update. The video card driver is “Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family”. Once the driver is installed and the laptop is restarted, the laptop driver works at native 1400×1050 pixel resolution until you clicked on the Start button or open IE8. The entire screen washes out. Or when you play any video, it just freezes up.

Drivers from Dell’s website only for WinXP, and unluckily Dell D610 was considered to be old to them, so they don’t support it anymore. Here’s what you can do to make the video drivers work:

1. Download XP drivers from Intel’s website here.
2. Remove the current vga drivers.
3. Install the XP drivers.
4. Restart your notebook.
5. Have fun.

Hopefully your VGA card will be working fine.
