Troubleshooting battery problem on Sony Vaio VGN-TX3 running Windows 7 OS is a good thing if you have problem on battery life which dropped from 6.5 hours to only 3 hours. No power management or hot key to adjust screen brightness might resolve the problem.
Actually, the VGN series is currently not supported by Win 7. However, you still can get Windows 7 drivers for VGN-TX3 XP/L if you follow these steps:
- Go to Sony website and navigate to control centre
- Use compatibility check with Vista if the program is able to install
- Download the drivers
- Right click on setup.exe file
- Click properties
- Click compatibility
- Check run as administrator
- Run setup.exe
The driver installation should work fine.
