Toshiba Portege R700 or R705 BIOS updates for August 2010 can be downloaded from the link below. This BIOS updates many bugs and added performance akin to fixing Symantec Ghost Software that hangs when booting from USB or from ODD. It additionally added support for the most recent Intel processor, namely Intel Core i3 and i5. Other than that, the update also added support for Zero (zero) energy ODD function. BIOS also updates thermal control parameter for 9.5 mm of ODD type.
