Lenovo Thinkpad T400 laptop comes with HSPA, SSD, UltraBay battery integrated and Windows XP SP3 OS. If you found out that you’ve got standby problem, especially while trying to wake up the machine from standby state, don’t worry because we now have solution to this issue.
Normally when you close the lid, the notebook should switch to standby state. The problem occurs when you try to open the lid, the laptop is locked by Windows and you will not be able to enter your username or password anymore. The only keys working are Enter and Tab, but not all others. Another sign is the backspace is displaying rectangles when entering in username field.
This problem is not a hardware or software issue, but might because some configuration protection of Safeguard Enterprise where the “detect hardware keylogger†setting is set to “forbidâ€Â. You should disable the check on this and this should resolve the problem. Just to be sure, check all external devices that are connected via USB port are switched off.
