Sony release Alpha A850, A550, and A500 digital cameras which come with 24.6, 14.2 and 12.3 megapixel sensors respectively. The A850 has many features from Sony A900 DSLR, whereas A550 and A500 are different. The A550 and A500 is packing new Memory Stick and SDHC card slots and not the big old Compact Flash.
The A550 manages to take 7 frames/second and having the low-light performance. Sony claimed that up to ISO 12800 the camera will still preserving “fine detail”. The tilting LCD displays is a nice feature to have, especially for low angle shots. If you bothered that it still has no video recording, hey it’s a DSLR not a video cam.
You can get them in October, priced at around $950 and $750 for A550 and A500 respectively. As for A850 will be available in September for $2,000 (body only).
