Sonic The Hedgehog on the iPhone? Remember Myst and Wolfenstein? These nostalgic games has on the iPhone been on the iPhone quite a while and now it’s Sonic turn. The game is now available for $5.99, and you can download it here.
Unfortunately, this fine game suffer from fake buttons that exists on the right and left corner of the screen due to lack of gamepad for iPhone. I’d still prefer gamepad to a glass screen, but Sonic still playable eventhough the iPhone’s RAM and CPU can’t keep up with the speed of the hedgehog. You’ll find often dying on spikes thanks to that rusty thumbs of yours.
The good news is the iPhone 3.0 software update will allow for the release of actual joypads that can plug into the phone, which would make it a device that could brighten nostalgic players’ day.
