Connecting Mac to TV is another problem that often occurs. The menu bar and dock is missing on the screen. This seems to be an issue related to over-scan. You might want to check what overscan is and why it happened on Wikipedia before continuing on resolving this issue just after the jump.
To fix this Mac problem while connecting on TV, you can turn off overscan on your TV. Some TV sets have this option you can access via their menu.
Just follow these steps to get it unchecked:
- Open System Preferences
- Select Displays
- Go to Options on the TV preferences window
- Uncheck overscan.
Once you’ve done this, you will now have a black border around all 4 sides of the screen. You can fix this by using SwitchResX or DisplayConfigX.
