Portable XAMPP

Portable XAMPP is quite easy to setup and install. XAMPP is a web server package that includes Apache, MySQL, PHP and Perl in one installation. It enables you to run a website, blog, or other web application. Because it consists of webserver, database server and php engine, you don’t have to install other web application, just setup once and run it.

The good thing is, you can have it run on your USB device, such as flash disk. That enables you to bring your server or script work with you.

Installing XAMPP Lite Portable

1. Create a folder to be used for XAMPP on your portable device
2. Download the XAMPP zip file
3. Extract the contents of XAMPP zip file to the folder created in step 1
4. Locate the setup_xampp.bat file and double click it to setup the configuration
5. Double click xampp-control.exe and start your server applications via the control panel
