Panasonic has released ToughBook CF-U1, an ultra computer which comes with 1.33 GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor and 5.6-inch touch screen capable of displaying up to 1024×600 pixel resolution. This kind of computer is often used for automation in field industry, such as in oil and gas field operation. This computer can also be used in other tough field such as emergency and police service.
As the name suggests, this computer is pretty tough comes with rubber, metal and durable plastic. Durability is not an issue, which meet the US-military standard MIL-STD 810F and also IP54 standard of protection from moisture and dust.
Other details specs are 1GB of RAM, Bluetooth and WiFi support, 16 or 32GB of SSD, SD card, and optional GPS receiver and HSDPA modem.
There are two keyboards as you can choose between the two, digital and QWERTY keyboard layout. As for battery, it is equipped with 9-hours battery life. It also preloaded with Windows XP or Vista.
