The 802.11b airport card doesn’t work and error message appears, “No AirPort card installed”. This is the symptom that may happen when you update the S10 laptop to 10.5.6. This problem can be solved by going the advanced way, to reset airport card installation. Follow below steps to get your airport card not working problem resolved:

  1. Download the attached file, named bcm43xx_enabler_0.5.1pre.sh
  2. Unzip it to your desktop to make it easier for you to drag the file
  3. Open Terminal and Select applications
  4. Click Utilities and pick Terminal.
  5. Drag the unzipped file into the Terminal window. This will tell you what to do. Type the instruction and your password to run.
  6. Exit terminal.

After doing above sequences, restart your Lenovo S10 laptop. Once it is up, your airport card should be on and detected.
