Intel T6600 aka Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T6600 is a new processor that comes with 2M Cache, clock speed of 2.20 GHz and running bus at 800 MHz FSB, launched at quarter one in 2009. Some says that there is not much improvement over the T5900.

Intel T6600 Specs
- Penryn-2M” (standard-voltage, 45 nm)
- All models support: MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4.1, Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology (EIST), Intel 64, XD bit (an NX bit implementation), IDA (Intel Dynamic Acceleration)[13]
- Penryn processors support Dynamic Front Side Bus Throttling between 400MT/s and 800MT/s.
- Die size: 82 mm²
- Steppings: R0[13]
- Core 2 Duo T6600
- 2200 MHz
- 2 MB L2 Cache
- FSB = 800 MT/s
- Multi = 11x
- Voltage = 1.00 – 1.250 V
- 35 W
- Socket P
- Released – January 6, 2009
- OEM
It has Penryn core, it will be 45nm and definitely offer power saving over T5900 thanks to 35 watt TDP, which in theory it will use less power if they want too, but they run if it runs faster than it is not going to save power. Usage is the key point here.
