YOU SHOULD ALSO MENTION THAT THE HARD DRIVE CONTAINS A 10GB RECOVERY PARTITION THAT IS DIFICULT TO REMOVE AND CAN EFFECT EVEN INSTALLATION OF A CLEAN INSTALL TO WINDOWS 7 WHICH I HAVE SEEN FIRST HAND GIVEN “BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH” AND IT DID NOT EVEN MAKE IT TO THE CHOOSE THE COUNTRY AND LANGUAGE STAGE BUT ONCE I PUT VISTA DISK BACK IN IT INSTALLED NO PROBLEM SO THE RECOVERY PARTITION WHICH IS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE HARD DRIVE MAY BE CAUSING A CONFLICT AND LEAVING PEOPLE WITH THE PROBLEM OF UPGRADING.

SOME HAVE MANAGED TO REMOVE THE RECOVERY PARTITION BY USING THE “DISKPART.EXE” FILE IN COMMAND PROMPT WINDOW…

“START MENU: TYPE: DISKPART… HIT ENTER”.

YOU CAN GET MORE INFORMATION ABOUT ( DISKPART.EXE ) IN GOOGLE.

    HOPES THIS HELPS… (“,
