Installing a new OS on your laptop can be quite confusing, especially when doing a clean Windows 7 installation. If you have an eMachines e525 laptop and would like to upgrade your notebook into this latest operating system from Windows, you should take note some points we will describe you below. Acer eMachines e525 look nice with the black case, although the LCD reflection is quite distracting. It comes with Intel Celeron M 2.2GHz processor, 160GB hard drive, 2GB DDR2 RAM. One thing you should know when installing Windows 7 on your machine is the laptop driver compatibility. We might be wrong, but based on many e525 users that had successfully installed Windows 7 realized that they can only put Windows 7 32-bit on, since the 64-bit causes problem with the sound driver. Appearantly, Installing Win 7 64-bit causes no sound on laptop.

Microsoft default driver for the sound was “High Definition Audio Device”, which is questionable whether or not it is compatible with the actual driver of Realtek HD Audio Device driver.

The current Windows 7 64-bit might not be compatible with the Realtek sound drivers, so you can safely install Windows 7 32-bit on your eMachines e525 notebook. Good luck on installing the new OS.
