HP Photosmart P1000 printer is a good printer back when Windows XP 32-bit era from 2003. To make it works in Windows Vista 64-bit and Win 7 you have to install special drivers into it.

First of all, install HP Deskjet 930c into your Windows OS which is listed in ‘Add Printer’ wizard. This driver is compatible with P1000, so you can use this since the drivers are not available from official website. You can access this via:
- Add printer
- Select add local printer and pick USB001
If you have Windows 7,you might want to do Windows Update when adding new printer. It will list new printers including 930c. After the update is completed, now you can choose 930c printer from Add printer wizard to install HP Photosmart P1000 printer on your Windows 7.
