IBM has collaborated with Simmtronics and Cananical to deliver a cheap Intel Atom N270 netbook which is targetted for budget users. This new netbook is features 10.1-inch LCD display with 1024×768 pixel resolution, 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB DDR2 memory RAM, 160GB HDD.
Other specs you might want to know is USB and Ethernet ports, 3-cell battery pack, and 1.3MP webcam. Another unique feature in this netbook including IBM client for Smart Work which combines IBM Lotus Symphony with LotusLive cloud services. However, the specs doesn’t mention WiFi support which is a great addition to working mobile with hotspots around.
The machine is preinstalled with Ubuntu OS, and can be preorder now at $190.
