HTC Portal to Remotely Control HTC Smartphones

HTC Portal is a small application that enables you to access your HTC smartphones and manage some functionality of the phone from your computer without having to install any extra software on it. Apparently this is a ported version of Motorola Phone Tools. Some functionality you can expect to get are: adding, deleting, viewing, editing contacts, bookmarking, accessing browser history and many more.

The cool thing about HTC Portal is the ability to control your HTC Smartphone remotely by using Wi-Fi connection. Best of all, it is cross operating system, meaning that it is capable of accessing your HTC phones regardless of operating system they have, either Windows or Linux.

HTC Portal is compatible with HTC Hero and T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream). Some also said that HTC Portal can also be connected via USB.
