HP Photosmart c7280 is an all-in-one printer which is a combo between a fax, a scanner and a copier for your office needs. Installing this inkjet printer to Windows 7, especially when you are trying to connect the printer to your laptop sometimes make a problem. Apparently the problem is caused by the incompatibility between Windows 7 and the HP Photosmart c7280 driver, which is only for XP and Vista. There is also a message saying, â€your operating system doesn’t compatible with vista or XP.†You can try our workaround to this problem to get your printer working on Win 7, just read ahead.

If the Windows 7 driver doesn’t work, you need to download the one for Win XP or Vista. Try following these steps after you have downloaded the drivers:
- Change the compatibility of the exe file to “Vista with service pack 2″
- Run it as Administrator
- Change the sub-directory (c:\Program Files\HP) Security setting for group users to have all access.
This should resolve your problem on installing HP Photosmart c7280 on Windows 7.
