How To Install Lexmamark Optra R on Windows 7

Get a problem when trying to install Lexmamark Optra R on your Windows 7? This problem often occurs when you are going to use the printer remotely by using network access. You don’t need to install another driver on your machine as you can resolve this problem in easy steps.


In case if you are trying to install the driver and error message pops up, “file needed printer driver inf for lexmark optra r series.” Stop right there as we have described above that you don’t need to install drivers.

The solution this problem is to add printer as local printer, not as network printer. You can try using 32-bit XP machine to use a printer connected to a 64-bit Windows machine:

1. Go to “Add Printer” wizard
2. Select “Local” printer instead of “Network” printer
