If you are wondering how to fix volume control on Lenovo Thinkpad SL300, it’s better that you read this. When working on Lenovo notebook, you’ll probably realize that at some point the volume buttons on the side of the netbook stopped working.
One solution to this problem would be go to Lenovo support, go to software and drivers section and click Notebook » Model » Operating System. Select the most recent Hotkey driver or ATK Hotkey driver.
Both of these drivers won’t install from the desktop. To make it works as you desire, run them on your Thinkpad SL300 and you should noticed that it extracts files to C:\Drive\Drivers\WIN\hotkey. Click setup to run. After the installation completed, reinstall the driver and restart the desktop. You should see the volume control of your Lenovo Thinkpad SL300 working again. Hope it helps.
