HDMI sound not working on HP 8510p running Windows Vista is often occured when this laptop users try to connect notebook to TV using HDMI function. No sound come from TV, but video shows fine. The sound appearantly only heard from laptop’s internal speaker. First checkup you can do is by checking up the cable, see if it is plugged in correctly. If it is, then the next thing you do is perform below steps to resolve no sound on TV problems.

No picture is showed up is annoying, because it might messed up your important presentation, where everyone is waiting for you to present your ideas. This problem seems to come from incorrect audo setting on the laptop. To fix this problem, follow these steps:
- Go to Control Panel
- Select Sounds
- Right click mouse on the “Digital Output Device (HDMI)â€
- Set it as default. It should be the same as Realtek HD Audio
- Go to TV option and also set the sound input as HDMI port.
You should now hear sound from HDTV speaker, not from internal speaker when you plug in the cable.
