Garmin Ltd. and ASUSTeK Computer Inc. has announced the release of their new Garmin-Asus Nuvifone A50 smartphone based on Android OS. This touchscreen smartphone is equipped with Garmin navigation with turn-by-turn, voice prompted directions for better navigation experience.

Garmin-Asus Nuvifone A50 packed with a bunch of features. Here’s the specs: 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen with virtual QWERTY keyboard, 3MP autofocus camera with auto geo-tagging, Google applications such as Google Search by voice, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, calendar, contacts, Android Market. Other useful features built into the phone is the high-sensitivity GPS receivers, 4GB internal memory, accelerometer and microSD expansion slot.
Garmin-Asus nüvifone A50 smartphone is going to hit the European market in first half of 2010, but no words on pricing.
