How to Fix Memory Stick Icon Missing
- Using find tool, find file named “snymsico.dll” (without quotes) on your Windows folder (usually on C:\Windows)
- Open up regedit by going to Start > Run. Type “regedit” (without quotes) on the input and press Enter.
- Navigate to HKLM -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion -> Explorer -> AutoPlayHandlers -> DeviceGroups -> MemoryStick
- Make sure that the value on Icons is set to:
%SystemRoot%\snymsico.dll,0
If not, change it. - Set NoMediaIcons to %SystemRoot%\snymsico.dll,1
- Restart your machine to see the effect.
