Apparently, HP Touchsmart TX2 users are experiencing trouble while watching movies and Media player/Media center couldn’t play 720p movie files. The annoying thing is the inability to display movie doesn’t display anything suspicious like error messages.
If using drivers both from HP and from individual vendors (AMD/ATI and Realtek) doesn’t solve your problem, you might want to install Zoomplayer 7. Zoomplayer offers smooth and hiccup-free movie playback even at 1080p. This won’t fix Media payer but will allow you to watch videos.
