One problem that Windows XP Professional with SP3 users got is the error message when updating NVIDIA driver version 179.48, “The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit.“

To solve this problem, download geforce_notebook_winxp_179.48_beta here then download a modded INF file for your laptop drivers from laptopvideo2go.com here. After that, put the INF file you have downloaded in the folder the driver installer resides, usually at C:\nvidia. Restart your machine.
