If you are having problem on ATI HDMI output as sound device appears in the playback devices list but when connecting to TV via HDMI port and ATI HDMI sound device suddenly gone, then read our workaround to get it working again. The problem won’t go away until computer is restarted.
The workaround to get audio back again is by rebooting Envy 5830 with HDMI cable plugged. But this temporary solution is not a good one because it will go away if the device is unplugged.
If you have Logitech G35 system tray app and having this kind of trouble, it might be the system tray app is to blame. Try disabling the Logitech G35 from your system tray and restart your machine. The problem of ATI HDMI audio output on HP Envy 5830 should be fixed by now.
