If you are having problem while using your laptop and felt that annoying ASUS G73JH steam lockup bug you experienced, you can relax and read our fix below.
First of all, Creative driver lockup is not a new thing. It has been around the corner for a long time. The lockup is easily fixed by installing the latest Realtek HD Audio Driver which you can get from the official website. Go to the www.realtek.com and download “High Definition Audio Codecs” with title “Vista, Windows7 Driver (32/64 bits) Driver only (ZIP file)” and the “ATI HDMI Audio Device”
After you have download the driver, run the setup twice. The first setup will remove the old driver, your laptop will get default driver for Windows 7. The second setup will install the latest driver, which is 6.0.1.6083. Old driver is 6.0.1.5978.
No need to uninstall the Creative application and driver to make it work.
The installation will fix the problem and you can also use Bass Boost now. Other lockup including going to Control Panerl -> Ease of Access Center can be fixed by enable Bass and select 7db before going to the panel.
