Have you experienced some problem when trying to eject DVD on your Studio XPS 13 laptop? Seems like some people having this issue when reading / burning a disc. Windows just freezes up and you can’t eject the disc on the slot loading DVD drive. No status light for the disc, so you can’t tell what is happening in there.

DVD Eject Problem Workaround
Dell XPS Studio 13 comes with a slot loading drive. Usually, to eject a disc, you just have to eject button lightly once and let it cycle and wait. But when the CD won’t come out, you might just having a firmware issue.
A workaround to this problem is installing firmware updates for the XPS 13. You should go to Dell’s site and download some laptop drivers for your 1340 here.
If the above fix still doesn’t resolve your problem, you can use a pair of small slim tweezers to get the stuck CD out. But very careful when doing it.
If all else fails, just go to service center and have them fixed it for you.
