Dell Dock is a cool application that add values to your Dell laptop. But when it gets annoying by displaying error report saying an error was encountered and not being able to close the error message because it keeps showing, now you want to get rid of it. If uninstalling the dock doesn’t work or hung on uninstallation process, you can disable Dell Dock from running on startup.
Disabling Dell Dock
If you can’t uninstall it, you still can prevent it from starting. Here’s how you do it:
- Press the ‘windows logo’ key and the ‘r’ key simultaneously.
- Type “msconfig†(without quotes) in the box that comes up, and then press Enter.
- In the next box that comes up, navigate to the start-up tab, then un-check the box next to delldock.
- Click apply then OK.
- Restart your laptop.
