Dell has released a new tough-looking laptop that designed with rugged materials which comes with 12.1-inch multitouch display capable of displaying 1280×800 maximum pixel resolution. It looks like a tablet PC. To ensure a good performance and believability that this rugged notebook is a weather-proof laptop, it meets the US military standard MIL-STD 810F.
Dell Latitude XT2 XFR is a multi-purpose laptop that comes with 1.6GHz Intel Core Duo SU9600 processor, 5GB DDR3 RAM, 160GB hard drive or 64/128GB SSD, Intel GMA 4500MHD graphic card. This extreme laptop can operate in extreme temperature, from -10ºF to 140ºF (-23ºC to 60ºC). Beware to use this laptop on a non-operating temperature from -40ºF to 158ºF (-40ºC to 70ºC) since you cannot use this laptop under these condition.
Other features that worth to mention are LAN support, Wifi and bluetooth support, three USB 2.0 ports, audio jack, and VGA out. In addition, it meets Ip-54 that has certified protection such as Ingress of dust (Level 5 Dust Protection) and no harmful effect from any practical direction (level 4 Splashing Water).
Dell Latitude XT2 XFR preloaded with Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate and can be purchased for $3,925.
