Connect Bluetooth Phone to Computer

First of all, you might want to set your Nokia E71. Turn on Bluetooth mode by holding down * on the keypad. Set the phone to be visible by other machine by going to menu > connectivity > bluetooth > my phone’s visibility > shown to all.

After that, the phone is set and you can go to your laptop to connect it. On the laptop, go to Start Menu and navigate to Control Panel. Select Hardware and Sound and Add a Bluetooth device. Follow the instruction on screen. After the driver installed, go to Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Connect to the Internet and follow these steps when asked on screen:

  1. Select “No, create new connection”
  2. Select “Dial Up”
  3. Select “Standard Modem over Bluetooth link”
  4. Enter *99# for dial up phone number
  5. Click connect

Once done, go back to your phone and click Accept when you are asked to accept connection to computer.

The last step is pretty obvious, just click “Browse the Internet now” when the message shows. Connection will appear on the tray icon / list of network connections. Now you are connected to Internet.
