Lenovo ThinkPad T500 comes with 160 GB hard drive. If you feel that it’s just too small, then you have to upgrade (change) the hard drive to a larger space. The problem of changing hard drive is about backing up the data on the old hard disk and restoring it to the new one.

If you don’t have data you want to keep, just replace it with the new one. Just follow the instruction in the user manual to change the old hard drive. You still have to install Windows and all the software and drivers to get it working.
For those of you who want to keep the data in the old hard drive, you need to do some cloning. Cloning works by copying the exact data from old hard drive to the new one by the help of software packages such as Norton Ghost.
