Windows 7 is the newest OS Microsoft released a while ago. Apart from compatibility many users claimed to be, some users also having problem and can’t install Ericsson F3507g Mobile Broadband Module into Windows 7 on x200s laptop.

It looks like the module driver can’t be installed because of the actual USB host controller driver that connect the module into the system. This problem might occur because Ericsson device undocks from system. The device manager show yellow exclamation mark, showing “unknown device” below the Universal Serial Bus Controllers with error code 43. Seems like a driver installation problem.
One classic solution is to install the latest chipset driver from both Lenovo and Intel. First of all, find unknown devices in the device manager. See if you can find Mobile Broadband Minicard information in the section of device manager:
- Modems = Ericsson F3507g Mobile Broadband Minicard Modem
- Network Adapters = Ericsson F3507g Mobile Broadband Minicard Network Adapter
- Ports (COM & LPT) = Ericsson F3507g Mobile Broadband Minicard Device
Management (COM5) - Ports (COM & LPT) = Ericsson F3507g Mobile Broadband Minicard GPS Port (COM8)
- Smart card readers = Ericsson F3507g Mobile Broadband Minicard PC SC Port
- Universal Serial Bus controllers = Ericsson F3507g Mobile Broadband
Minicard Composite Device
Once you have installed the correct driver on your Windows 7, hopefully it will work fine.
