Fix Blu-ray Drive Gone

Follow these steps below to get your blu-ray drive working again:

  1. Click Start
  2. Navigate to run and type “regedit” (without quotes) in the Start Search text box.
  3. Find the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
  4. Select UpperFilters in the right pane and then right click and select Delete on the popup menu.
  5. Select Yes to delete the entry from registry.
  6. Select LowerFilters in the right pane and then right click and select Delete on the popup menu.
  7. Select Yes to delete the entry from registry.

Make sure that you backup your registry first before doing any of these steps above. After you’ve done following the steps, restart your machine. Go to Windows Explorer, you should see the blu-ray drive is now visible.
