BlackBerry Storm2 9550 Verizon Wireless Released

Verizon Wireless and RIM have announced the BlackBerry Storm2 9550, which comes with SurePress technology and BlackBerry OS 5.0 that improves visual and usability features. The new OS introduces many new features like typing accuracy, inertial scrolling and spin boxes.

BlackBerry Storm2 9550 (Verizon Wireless) comes with 480×360 pixel touchscreen display, 3.2MP autofocus camera, 256MB flash memory with 2GB on-board memory storage, microSD/SDHD slot, WiFi and Bluetooth support, built-in GPS, Verizon Wireless’ VZ Navigator service support, Mobile Broadband Connect tethering service and V CAST Music with Rhapsody.

For internet access, BlackBerry Storm2 9550 also features improved BlackBerry Browser with faster JavaScript and CSS processing. Other features that included are Gears support and Blackberry Widgets. What’s more, Storm2 also has BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 to gain access to emails, remote files, appointments, calendar, and many more.

Multimedia also supported by including loud distortion-free speakerphone into this fine mobile phone. The battery is a rechargeable 1400mAhr that can last up to 5.5 hours of talk time and up to 11.2 days of standby time.

BlackBerry Storm2 9550 Verizon Wireless is available beginning on October 28 for $179.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and 2-year service contract.
