ATI Radeon HD3450 Resolution Problem on Dell Studio 1535 Laptop Running Windows 7

Dell Studio 1535 laptop comes with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 graphic card. Some reports showing that there is a problem with resolution when playing games on Windows 7, with only 800×600 pixel resolution and not being able to get full screen mode. Forcing to get into higher resolution results lagging on the game.

First of all, you can fix the problem of Radeon HD 3450 graphic card on Dell Studio 1535 by switching the screen into diferent resolution. This usually works on few games. If changing into other resolution gave you a black space on the monitor, it might because the game only display to that maximum resolution.

Try the following steps to get your game display properly:

  1. Set your monitor resolution to the max
  2. Bring it back to your Studio 1535 graphic settings.
  3. You can also play with texturing, smoothness, etc in the panel (lowering it down should do).
  4. Open ATI Catalyst Control Center (ATI CCC) and lower down the display settings.
