Asus Eee PC 1001 P is a budget netbook with low specs. It has lower capacity battery than EeePC 1005PE and doesn’t have 802.11n. Well, it’s cheap and priced at under $300. It comes with 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, Windows 7 Starter Edition, 10.1-inch with a matte display 1024×600 pixel resolution, so you can easily look at the screen under direct sunlight.
Other inputs you can see are: a VGA port, 3 USB ports, mic and headphone jacks, an Ethernet jack and an SDHC card slot. The netbook comes with larger keys and flat which make typing comfortable. But because of the limited space, the arrow keys are really a major problem, it is too small.
The Eee PC 1001P-PU17 comes with a 6-cell, 4400mAh, which is capable of lasting up to 11 hours. Other than no 802.11n Wifi and low battery capacity, this netbook is about as good as Eee PC 1005PE, with a lower price.
