Acer Iconia-6120 Dual-Screen Touchbook is the new tablet pc from Acer, which was claimed to be the first tablet that comes with 14-inch touchscreen HD widescreen, not one but two. This was made possible because Acer is using AppCards based on Windows 7 Premium OS as the touchscreen applications.
You can use one touchscreen as a keyboard by using virtual QWERTY keyboard, which can be activated by resting both palms on the bottom screen. It can also detect gesture by placing all five fingers on screen by launching Acer Ring Control Interface.
Acer Iconia-6120 Dual-Screen Touchbook Specs and Features
The Acer Iconia-6120 comes with the latest Intel Core i5 processor supporting Turbo Boost to improve clock speed by overclocking it to maximum performance. It also comes with dual 14-inch touchscreen display with fingerprint-resistant Gorilla Glass, 4GB DDR3 RAM and 640GB HDD. Graphics card is supplied with Intel HD graphics.
Social networking is made easier with Social Jogger, which allow users to connect to Facebook, YouTube video sharing and also Flickr to share their favorite photos, videos, websites. You can also benefit from 1.3 MP HD webcam to capture still photos and videos for high quality video conference.
For many people using touchscreen tablet PC, one thing to speed up their productivity is by using gesture. Acer Iconia-6120 features Gesture Editor to make a gesture shortcut for launching your favorite apps instantly. Internet browsing is also easier by using TouchBrowser with support to touch input.
Entertainment is sufficient enough with Dolby Advanced Audio v3 to support audio and sound improvement. This tablet PC also has various inputs you can use such as 2xUSB 2.0, 1xUSB 3.0, HDMI port and also WiFi connectivity to make web surfing comfortable by connecting it to a nearby hotspot.
Acer Iconia 6120 Dual-Screen Touchbook is expected to be available in April 2011 for around $1,200 but you can also pre-order it now.
